I really hope they both show up for this debate – we need to hear clear plans for addressing inequality, healthcare, and climate change. It’s frustrating when candidates dodge these opportunities for real accountability and transparency.
The elites in the media are pushing for this debate like it’s going to change anything, but they’ve already picked their favorites. It’s just another show to make us think we have a real choice, while the real issues affecting everyday people get ignored.

Why should CNN or anyone else get to set deadlines for how candidates communicate with voters? Let them debate on their own terms without all this media interference.

Honestly, I’m not surprised CNN is trying to push this debate, but I doubt it’s going to be a fair one. Trump always gets treated unfairly by the mainstream media, and CNN is no exception. They’ll just twist his words and give Harris a free pass. That being said, I’m sure Trump will still hold his own, as he always does. It’ll be interesting to see if Harris can actually answer tough questions for once instead of dodging them.
