Yes, if they need better planes to protect us with, we should be glad to pay for the security, so long as it is necessary to keep it up to date as the most technologically advanced plane that it can be.

No, only because the price of $4 billion seems really high and I'm wondering if it really needs to be that much especially if the current Air Force One aircrafts dont have any significant issues. Maybe later.

Air Force One should be upgraded if/when deemed necessary by the Air Force and when funded by Congress.

Yes but if a private company is being hired their profit margins should be publicized.

Military planners, tacticians, and commanders are the only ones in a position to answer this question intelligently. They possess the information regarding what tech is needed to future-proof the machines as well the intel necessary to understand what threats need to be defended against. That being said, the military industrial complex often ensures that project costs balloon exorbitantly. The entire process for military hardware acquisitions, storage, and logistics needs to be reviewed and reformed to reduce waste, fraud, and abuse.

Yes, presidential transportation (such as Air Force One, Marine One, and car transport) should be upgraded regularly (as needed) and a single replacement for each should be delivered regularly (e.g. every 21 years, each form of transport 7 years apart), with two of each in service at any given time such that at least one is operable while the other is being repaired/upgraded.

 @8BYLJPN from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, Improving the military is always good, but the cost should be reduced if possible.

No, the entire upgrade should be made public and put to a vote for how large the budget should be since it is funded with tax payer dollars.

 @8WH7Z55 from Wisconsin  answered…3yrs3Y

No, spend that $4 Billion for something that benefits a wider community.

 @8WQLRRP from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but only when the time has come to make the fleet have less emissions.

 @8WPN6T6 from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

No, air force one is just a term to describe the aircraft the president is in no matter what it is

 @8WRR7YQ from Kentucky  answered…3yrs3Y

There should be small updates every now and then unless threatened by a foreign nation.
