The Russian Civic Platform is a political party in Russia that was established in 2012. It was founded by billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, who, at the time, was also a presidential candidate. The party positions itself as a centrist, liberal organization, aiming to represent the interests of the business community as well as the broader middle class. Its creation was seen as an attempt to provide a political platform for liberal voices and to foster a more modern, innovative economy in Russia, moving away from excessive reliance on natural resources.

Despite its ambitions, the Russian Civic Platform has struggled to gain significant traction in the highly centralized and controlled political landscape of Russia, where the ruling United Russia party dominates. The Civic Platform's influence in Russian politics, as of our last update, remains limited, with its representation in legislative bodies being minimal. Nonetheless, it continues to participate in elections and serve as a voice for liberal economic policies and democratic reforms in the country.
